About me

 

Paul Gregory is a local musician (piano player) living in Hailey, Idaho.

He was both a student and vocal accompanist working with Mike Campbell at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, CA in the 1980s.

Taught in large part in Costa Mesa by Jazz musician Dick Powell- his dream was to become a studio musician.

While forming a band centering on original music and featuring singer Dinah Englund.

Paul worked with Jeff Baxter (guitarist of Steely Dan and Doobie Brothers).

At the same time Paul cofounded a rock band Cobalt Bloo with lead singer Bret Levick which played the LA club circuit In 2000, Paul moved out to Idaho and began teaching piano.

He has played at the Ram restaurant (Sun Valley) the Duchin Room (Sun Valley Lodge) and Limelight Hotel (Ketchum) with various artists.

While working with the Halleluiah choir under Patty Parson’s direction, he was fortunate to work with Carole King. Her generous spirit inspired the choir during rehearsals and performances.

Currently Paul is playing with Jimmy Mitchell and Russ Caldwel —- Jimmy plays nylon string guitar and Russ on percussion.
